Amanda Stott

Amanda spent her early career working in, and with the National Health Service in the UK with a focus on promoting public health, researching and supporting public health policy and facilitating the translation of medical research into medical practice. 

As Assistant Director of the National Primary Care Facilitation Programme, Amanda trained hundreds of health care practitioners in the skills of facilitation to enable and support the integration of health policy into practice.

Following her time in the NHS Amanda went on to set up her own company facilitate this! Ltd in 2002,  training professionals across all industries in the skills of facilitation to run meetings and workshops that were more inclusive, engaging and impactful Amanda has a strong belief in the power of bringing communities of people together and holding the space for great things to happen!

The passion to bring people together has also been a feature of her personal life, starting running and cycling clubs for her local community and hosting charity fundraising events.

Joining the Board of NOWSIS is an honour and I hope to use my experience of public health promotion and facilitation to support the valuable work of the team and spread the impact far and wide.
